I think if I do too many more of these “colony” stories I’m going to have to make them their own section. This piece started as an “intro” to yet another story that has been sitting in a virtual drawer for years. I pulled it up on a whim, and before I knew what I was doing, I was finishing the fourth chapter. Just a warning, this story pushes the edge of my own personal squick factor.
